Colorado: BHV Adventures, LLC Becomes First Rural Jump-Start Participant in Lincoln County

LINCOLN COUNTY ~ Lincoln County, Colorado - In a move to support economic growth and create new housing opportunities for rural Coloradans, Governor Jared Polis and the Business Funding & Incentives (BF&I) division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) announced today that BHV Adventures, LLC has become the first business in Lincoln County to join the Rural Jump-Start program.
BHV Adventures is a manufacturer specializing in affordable and luxury tiny homes on wheels. The company designs, creates, and sells these homes in both bumper pull and fifth wheel options. With plans to start operations in a factory space in Arriba, Colorado, BHV Adventures will also collaborate with other local businesses in Lincoln County such as Arriba Cueball Trailer MFG, High Plains Bank, and Big Ben's RV Park - which is owned and operated by BHV Adventures' owner.
Governor Polis expressed his excitement about BHV Adventures joining the Rural Jump-Start program, stating that "Colorado is the best place to live, work and run a business." He believes that by supporting businesses like BHV Adventures across the state, it will help drive the economy and provide new housing options for rural residents.

BHV Adventures' Founder and Managing Member Ben VanderWerf shared his enthusiasm for being approved as Lincoln County's first recipient of the Rural Jump-Start program. He stated that their goal is to provide affordable models for those seeking an adventurous or family-oriented lifestyle without the financial burden of owning a large house. VanderWerf also emphasized their commitment to supporting customers by providing them with a safe and sustainable community environment.
The Rural Jump-Start program aims to encourage economic development and job creation in economically distressed rural counties of Colorado. As part of this program, BHV Adventures will receive $15,000 in grant funding to support their launch operations. Additionally, eligible employees will receive a state personal income tax exemption.
Eve Lieberman, Executive Director of OEDIT, highlighted the program's success in supporting local communities and creating jobs across the state. She expressed her excitement about BHV Adventures coming to eastern Colorado and believes that this announcement showcases the state's commitment to innovation and diversifying its economy.
