City of Tacoma Observes Christmas Day December 25 and New Year's Day January 1

~ As the holiday season approaches, the City of Tacoma has announced its administrative offices will be closed on December 25 and January 1 in observance of Christmas Day and New Year's Day. This includes the Tacoma Recovery & Transfer Center, located at 3510 S. Mullen St., which houses the Recycle Center and Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
Residents are reminded that there will be no garbage, recycling, or yard/food waste curbside collection on these days. However, all curbside collection for the rest of those weeks will occur one day later, with Friday's collection taking place on Saturday. To find out specific information for their address, residents can visit tacoma.gov.

In addition, the Recycle Center is reminding residents that they do not accept wrapping paper and are asking them to dispose of these items in their green garbage container.
The Tacoma Public Library locations will also be closed on December 24, 25, and January 1.
Furthermore, there will be no parking enforcement by City staff on December 25 and January 1. The City encourages residents to take advantage of this opportunity to spend time with loved ones during the holidays.
