Why Millions Are Losing Sexual Sensation, And Why It's Not Age, Hormones, or Desire
Rezul News/10723434
AUSTIN, Texas - Rezul -- Loss of sexual sensation, muted arousal, and fading orgasms are increasingly treated as unavoidable parts of aging. But according to body-based clinical observation, many of these changes may not be decline at all, they may be the result of physical shutdown caused by chronic compression in the body.
In How Sitting Is Killing Your Sex Life and Orgasms, Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and independent publisher Joanna Iris, a Parker University (Dallas) alumna, challenges the idea that sexual function disappears simply because time passes. Drawing from years of hands-on experience, Iris points instead to restricted blood flow, compressed fascia, and disrupted nerve signaling as overlooked contributors to reduced sensation and desire, particularly in adults over 35.
"When circulation is compromised, everything downstream is affected," Iris explains. "I often describe it like a river delta. When muscles and fascia become chronically compressed, it's as if debris slides in and dams the flow. The system doesn't disappear; it becomes inaccessible. And over time, people start believing what they're experiencing is permanent."

Modern lifestyles built around prolonged sitting can create sustained compression in the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. From a fascia-based perspective, these restrictions may interfere with circulation and tissue responsiveness essential for arousal and orgasm in both men and women.
Iris emphasizes that restoring function is not about a single fix. "We don't go to the gym expecting one workout to transform the body," she notes. "Sexual function relies on the same muscles and fascia we train in physical fitness. Change happens through repetition, by consistently creating space and restoring flow."
The book is part of a completed 21-part, question-based series addressing the most commonly asked, and least openly discussed, sexual function concerns affecting midlife adults. Each title isolates one question and explores it through anatomy, fascia mechanics, nervous-system regulation, and clinical observation, forming a modular framework readers can explore individually or as a complete system.
