(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ The City of Columbia Water Utility is taking steps towards sustainable growth by proposing a new irrigation ordinance for its customers. In an effort to reduce water usage, the Utility will be hosting two public input meetings to discuss the ordinance and gather feedback from the community.

The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 10 at 6 p.m. in Conference Room 1A/1B at City Hall. The second meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at 4 p.m. at the Activity and Recreation Center.

During these meetings, customers will have the opportunity to engage with City staff and learn more about the proposed ordinance. A presentation will kick off each meeting, followed by a discussion on the background and necessity of the proposal. Customers are encouraged to voice their opinions and concerns about the future of water use in Columbia.
