(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ The City of Columbia is offering residents the opportunity to get involved in local government by accepting applications for various boards and commissions. These positions allow individuals to represent the voices of their community and have a say in important decisions.
Interested applicants can find the application on the City's website, CoMo.gov, and must submit it to the City Clerk's Office by 5 p.m. on Friday, August 7. There are currently openings for ten different boards and commissions, including the Board of Health, Building Construction Codes Commission, and Climate and Environment Commission.

Other available positions include Dangerous or Aggressive Animal Advisors, Disabilities Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Housing and Community Development Commission, Public Transit Advisory Commission, Railroad Advisory Board, and Tax Increment Financing Commission.
