In addition, several City parks have been closed to vehicle traffic as a precautionary measure. These include popular destinations such as Garden of the Gods, North Cheyenne Cañon, and Palmer Park.
The Public Works Operations & Maintenance Division is working diligently to clear primary and secondary routes as snow continues to fall. Drivers are advised to plan extra time for their commute and use caution when driving near snowplows. It is important to maintain a safe distance from these vehicles as they may have limited visibility.
Residents can stay updated on any further developments by visiting ColoradoSprings.gov or following the city's social media accounts (@CityofCOS, @CSFDPIO, @CSPDPIO, @MountainMetro). Additional resources for dealing with winter weather can also be found at pproem.com/WinterStorm.
As always, the City of Colorado Springs prioritizes the safety of its residents and encourages everyone to take necessary precautions during this winter storm.
