WHY:
Despite decades of litigation, the legacy of Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) remains a critical threat to public health and local waterways. Veterans For Peace, framing environmental protection as a matter of national security and moral obligation, will join Hedges to highlight the intersection of corporate power, military-industrial interests, and ecological destruction.

INTERVIEW OPPORTUNITIES:

Chris Hedges:
American Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, author, ordained Presbyterian minister, and activist known for his critiques of American imperialism, corporate capitalism, and the Christian right. He spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent for The New York Times, focusing on war, conflict, and the Middle East. Chris will be delivering the keynote address "Blue Renewal".

Bob Jones: Lee Select Board member, Robert has been a fierce, unwavering voice against the status quo, demanding real accountability and a cleaner future for our waters.

Robert Heinzman: A Yale-educated restoration scientist and member of Town of Lee Select Board's PCB Advisory Committee "Bioremediation Czar" challenging GE's landfill-centric approach with standards-based ecological restoration.
