David Hunihan celebrates 10 years of combined service with Lee Wetherington Homes
Rezul News/10738537
SARASOTA, Fla. - Rezul -- David Hunihan, CEO of Lee Wetherington Homes (https://lwhomes.com/), a top rated, privately owned custom luxury home builder in Sarasota, is celebrating a milestone of 10 years of combined service with the company this month.
Hunihan originally started with Lee Wetherington Homes in 1995 as an on-site salesperson and held various roles during his initial tenure, including vice president and senior vice president of sales and marketing, before holding the title of president from 1999 to 2000.
During his first few years with Lee Wetherington Homes, he supervised daily sales and marketing operations, was responsible for budgets, strategic planning, recruiting and training sales force, and participated in product development and corporate systems development, among other tasks. As president, he oversaw and implemented the plan to grow the company to over 300 homes per year through land acquisition and development.

Hunihan went on to explore other professional opportunities, which included owning his own company, then serving as director of sales, operations manager, area president and vice president for a few companies within the residential home building industry. He then returned to Lee Wetherington Homes in 2021 to serve as CEO.
"It has been such a blessing to come back to Lee Wetherington Homes after all these years," said Hunihan. "In many ways, it's like coming home. I was proud of the work we did here early in my career, and I am happy to be back to finish my career here while helping to preserve the legacy Lee has built over the last 45 years, so that the company will be around long into the future. We will do that by not only continuing to build the best possible quality homes in our market, but also by delivering on our mission to provide the best possible home building experience for our customers. That is the variable that makes us different; the one that many builders miss and even the good ones lack consistency with."
