U.S. Nonprofit Launches First Digital Birth Identity Passport to Protect Children From Birth

Genesis Shield™, created in Virginia, introduces a new standard to protect children's digital identity from their earliest moments of life

LEESBURG, Va. - Rezul -- 12-Year-Old and Her Mother Launch World's First "Digital Birth Identity Passport" to Protect Newborns

LEESBURG, VA — April 12, 2026 — It began with a single question that exposed a global security gap. One evening, 12-year-old Anna Tchoye asked her mother, a cybersecurity professional: "Mom, when I was a baby, was I digitally protected?"

The answer was a definitive no.

Today, Anna and her mother, Adeline NJAWA T., are changing that reality with the launch of GENESIS SHIELD™—the first Digital Birth Identity Passport designed to secure a child's digital presence from the moment they are born.

Addressing the Invisible Gap
While legal identities and medical records are established at birth, a child's digital identity often begins without oversight, protection, or parental guidance. Data points are created, shared, and stored long before a child can understand or consent to them.

CyberInnoShield Foundation, a U.S.-based nonprofit specializing in human-centered cybersecurity and AI, developed GENESIS SHIELD™ to shift the paradigm from reaction to anticipation.

"Digital risks do not begin in adolescence. They begin at the first data point," says Adeline NJAWA T., Founder and CEO of CyberInnoShield Foundation. "As a professional, I saw the risks. As a mother, I saw the void. We decided to build the solution that didn't exist."

A Solution Built by Two Generations
Anna Tchoye now serves as Co-Founder and Youth Ambassador for the initiative, representing a generation that inherits a digital footprint they did not create. Her involvement ensures the framework remains rooted in the lived experience of young digital citizens.

Built on a "Privacy by Design" philosophy, the GENESIS SHIELD™ framework provides:

Rights Awareness: A clear breakdown of a child's digital rights in an AI-driven world.

Proactive Guidance: Practical tools for families to manage responsible digital exposure.

Long-term Security: A structured framework to protect identity integrity as the child grows.

A New Standard for Protection
Headquartered in Leesburg, Virginia, the CyberInnoShield Foundation is actively engaging with healthcare providers, educators, and policymakers to integrate GENESIS SHIELD™ into postnatal care and early childhood development standards.

The initiative challenges society to answer a critical question: Who holds responsibility for a child's digital safety before they can speak for themselves?

"Protection should not begin after harm," the founders state. "It should begin at birth."
