CHICAGO - Rezul -- Chicago, IL… Jazz guitarist, composer, and producer Rodney Gipson will celebrate Black History Month with a series of live performances that blend original music, artistic collaboration, and community engagement. Spanning intimate gallery settings in Chicago and a major cultural festival in Baton Rouge, the performances reflect Gipson's commitment to both artistic excellence and cultural legacy.

January 31 — Rodney Gipson Trio at The Katalyst Coffee Lounge and Music Gallery (Chicago, IL)

On Friday, January 31, the Rodney Gipson Trio will perform at The Katalyst Coffee Lounge and Music Gallery. The evening will feature light refreshments, an artist talk with Rodney Gipson and visual artist Robert Valadez, and a discussion of their collaborative music and visual art project, followed by a live performance of Gipson's original compositions and select jazz standards. 7:30 PM  $25.5  13257 S BALTIMORE, CHICAGO, IL 60633

Rodney Gipson and his Jazz Combo will also appear as part of the R. Nathaniel Dett Club of Music and the Allied Arts' Black History Month Concert, presented in association with the National Association of Negro Musicians (NANM). February 14 — Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Festival (Baton Rouge, LA)

On Saturday, February 14, Rodney Gipson will perform from 4:30–5:00 PM on the Town Lawn Stage at North Boulevard Town Square in Baton Rouge. His jazz set will feature musicians hired from local colleges, underscoring his commitment to education and regional talent development. The event is free to public. North Boulevard is located at 222 North Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70801.
