The Woods Gifts Celebrates 40 Years of Unique and Handcrafted Gifts

Minnesota-Based Gift Store Marks Four Decades of Community and Craftsmanship
MAPLE GROVE, Minn. - Rezul -- The Woods Gifts proudly celebrates 40 years of providing unique, handcrafted gifts to communities across Minnesota. Since its inception in 1985, the store has grown from a small shop along the Mississippi River in Minneapolis to a beloved destination for high-quality, one-of-a-kind treasures.
Founded as Davlins by Dave and Linda, the store began as a passion project dedicated to fine craftsmanship. The original location at St. Anthony Main offered an assortment of handmade wooden gifts, including cribbage boards, jewelry boxes, kaleidoscopes and even wooden neckties. Signature items, such as handcrafted wooden cars by artist Jerry Kron, quickly became customer favorites.
As demand grew, the business expanded, opening a second location at Ridgedale Center in 1988. Over the years, additional stores were established in Roseville, Burnsville and Edina, with each location embracing the store's commitment to quality and creativity. To better serve the evolving retail landscape, operations were later streamlined, focusing on two core locations in Maple Grove and Woodbury.

The Woodbury store, which opened in 2013, was a significant milestone, allowing for a wider selection of gifts and greater community engagement. Events such as visits from Santa Claus and live reindeer became cherished traditions, with families returning year after year to create lasting memories. The Maple Grove store, established in 1997, has remained a landmark, drawing visitors with its unique product selection and deep ties to the community.
Beyond offering gifts, The Woods Gifts has been an active participant in community initiatives, contributing to events like Arbor Day tree plantings, Walk for the Cure Breast Cancer Research and local road clean-ups. These efforts reflect a commitment to giving back to the communities that have supported the business for four decades.
As the company celebrates this milestone, appreciation is extended to loyal customers, dedicated team members and all those who have contributed to its success. The Woods Gifts looks forward to continuing its tradition of offering heartfelt gifts and memorable experiences for years to come.
