Texas Wins 2026 Prosperity Cup As Top State For Job-Creating Business Investment

~ In a recent announcement, Governor Greg Abbott proudly declared that Texas has been awarded the 2026 Prosperity Cup by Site Selection magazine. This prestigious award is given annually to the top-performing state for job-creating business investment.

Governor Abbott expressed his excitement, stating, "Texas is once again the top state for job-creating business investment. In Texas, we prioritize the success of both people and businesses. With our nation's best business climate, driven by predictable and pro-growth policies, as well as a highly skilled and growing workforce, we are confident in building a more prosperous Texas for years to come."

According to Executive Vice President of Conway Data Inc. and Site Selection magazine Ron Starner, Texas' success in corporate facility deal-making can be attributed to their impressive numbers. "By any measure used by Site Selection, Texas outperforms all other states by a significant margin," Starner stated.

Additionally, last November, Site Selection recognized Texas as having the top business climate in the United States for three consecutive years.

The Prosperity Cup index tracks various factors such as business location and expansion projects, capital investment, job creation, business and tax climate, and workforce readiness. Once again, Texas has proven its dominance by scoring highest in all 10 categories.
