Texas Indie Filmmaker Awards Announces 15 Official Selections for 2026

ARLINGTON, Texas - Rezul -- Ladies in Film & Television (LIFT) has announced the 15 selected film projects for the 2026 Texas Indie Filmmaker Awards (TIFA), representing filmmakers from across Texas. The announcement marks the start of Phase 2 of judging as selected projects advance toward nominee consideration in major award categories.

Nominees will be selected in categories including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Writer, Best Cinematographer, Best Producer, and additional honors recognizing excellence in independent filmmaking.

New for 2026, the Texas Indie Filmmaker Awards will introduce a Best Soundtrack award, recognizing excellence in original music and scoring for independent film projects.

The 15 Official Selections for 2026 include:
Timeless; The Art of Eternal Love; Gone Away; The Rings That Bind Us; His Truth Her Truth The Truth; FOUR MY BROTHERS; Mister Gates; The Silent Witness; SHINE; Vacancy; Eclipse Outlaw Chase; Whispers Beyond Bars; The Whistler; Talking Taron; Karma In Heels.

Now in its fourth year, the Texas Indie Filmmaker Awards continues expanding its reach, bringing together filmmakers from across Texas while creating opportunities for recognition, collaboration, and industry growth. The awards celebration will take place in Arlington, Texas on September 21, 2026 at the Bob Duncan Center.
