~ Laredo, TX- Governor Greg Abbott has announced the reappointment of Jed Alton Brown as the presiding officer of the Webb County - City of Laredo Regional Mobility Authority. Brown's term is set to expire on February 1, 2028.

The Regional Mobility Authority is a political subdivision that works in partnership with the state to deliver transportation infrastructure projects for Webb County and the City of Laredo. As the presiding officer, Brown will play a crucial role in local transportation planning and project delivery.

Brown, a resident of Laredo, is currently the president of The Brownstone Group, Inc. He brings a wealth of experience as a real estate developer and general contractor for multi-family housing properties. In addition to his role with the Regional Mobility Authority, he also serves on the policy committee of the Laredo & Webb County Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.

Prior to this appointment, Brown served three terms on the Webb County Appraisal Review Board. He has also been actively involved in his community as a board leader and coach for various youth sports teams across local leagues. In addition, he holds a real estate broker's license and is an active private pilot.

Governor Abbott first appointed Brown to this position in 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin. With his extensive experience and qualifications, Brown is well-equipped to continue serving as the presiding officer for the Regional Mobility Authority and contribute to improving transportation infrastructure in Webb County and Laredo.
