~ Fort Worth, TX- Governor Greg Abbott has recently announced the appointment of Michael Ferry to the 213th Judicial District Court in Tarrant County. This appointment is set to expire on December 31, 2026, or until a successor is duly elected and qualified.

Ferry, a resident of Fort Worth, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He currently serves as the assistant district attorney in the Narcotics Unit of the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office. In addition, he also holds the position of Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division.

Prior to his work in law enforcement, Ferry served as a special agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration and held positions as a lieutenant and surface warfare officer in the United States Navy. He is also an active member of both the State Bar of Texas and the Federalist Society.

Ferry's impressive educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco. With his extensive experience and qualifications, Ferry is well-equipped to serve on the 213th Judicial District Court in Tarrant County.
