Tacoma Police Department to Recognize Two Community Members Who Intervened in Violent Assault

~ Tacoma Police Department to Honor Community Heroes at Press Conference

The Tacoma Police Department will be holding a press conference on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 6:00 PM to recognize two community members who showed immense bravery during an aggravated assault at Point Defiance Park on February 10, 2024. These individuals will be presented with the prestigious Medal of Courage for their heroic actions in providing critical aid and staying with the victim until first responders arrived.
