~ Springfield Police Department officers have successfully located 86-year-old Richard L. Pike, who was reported missing earlier today. Pike was found safe and in good condition in Springfield, thanks to the assistance of the public and law enforcement.
According to a previous press release, Pike was last seen at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Friday, June 25 at Abby Apartments on East Erie Street. He was riding a red and black three-wheel Hoveround mobility scooter and was wearing a black ball cap with "we the people" on it, a black shirt, blue athletic shorts, white socks, and gray slip-on shoes.

Pike's family had reported him missing and expressed concern as he suffers from dementia and is easily confused. The Springfield Police Department had asked for the public's help in locating him and confirming his well-being.
Fortunately, their efforts paid off as Pike was located safely in Springfield. The police department would like to thank everyone who assisted in the search for Pike.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact 911 or the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477). The case number for this incident is 21-22001.
