Residents are invited to attend a workshop at the Greene County Archives and Elections Center on December 11th from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. to learn more about the expanded program. Neighborhood Works+ is an enhanced version of the City's longstanding Neighborhood Works program, which was created to implement visible and impactful improvement projects within registered neighborhoods. This new program will focus on collaboration between individual residents, Registered Neighborhood Associations, and various City departments including Public Works and Planning and Development.
The goal of Neighborhood Works+ is to improve livability, safety, and neighborhood pride through priority projects identified by residents and city officials. With planning already underway, construction for the first round of neighborhood projects is expected to begin in fall 2026.
To stay informed about Neighborhood Works+ and its progress, residents are encouraged to visit www.springfieldmo.gov/NWplus. This website will provide updates on the program's developments and allow residents to stay involved in their community's improvement efforts.
