According to data from the past five years (2021-2025), motorcyclists have accounted for sixteen percent of traffic fatalities in Washington. This makes them one of the most vulnerable road users in the state. To prevent further accidents, it is crucial for all drivers to remain vigilant, check their blind spots, and share the road safely.
The main objective of this emphasis is to reduce crashes through education, awareness, and enforcement. By doing so, it will help make Spokane's roads safer for everyone during this summer season.
In related news, a photo of a motorcycle crash was released as a reminder of the importance of safe driving practices. The Spokane Police Department urges all drivers to take caution and follow traffic laws to prevent such incidents from occurring.
