Rezul News/10739970
~ Spokane, WA- On the morning of June 9th, 2026, a house fire broke out in the 600 block of East Sanson Ave. The Spokane Police Department received a call around 6:30am and quickly responded to the scene. According to Officer T. Leming, Public Information Officer for the Spokane Police Department, multiple victims were inside the home at the time of the fire, including the suspect's child.

Fortunately, all occupants were able to safely evacuate through a window before the fire spread rapidly throughout the house. However, it did not stop there as it also caught a neighbor's attached garage on fire.

After firefighters from the Spokane Fire Department successfully extinguished the blaze, Fire Investigators arrived on scene and notified officers that the fire appeared to be intentionally set. In their investigation, officers spoke with victims and witnesses and collected video evidence.

One officer had prior knowledge that one of the victims living at the location was under a Domestic Violence Order of Protection. Through further investigation and with help from video surveillance footage, they were able to identify Romello D. Abram (35) as the suspect. It was discovered that Abram was prohibited from being within 1000 feet of the location due to being named as respondent in the Domestic Violence Order of Protection.
