Skyler Rorabaugh selected as Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services director

Currently serving as the Manager of Pikes Peak - America's Mountain, he oversees a complex enterprise operation that serves over one million visitors annually. Prior to his current role with the City, Rorabaugh served as the Director of Campus Recreation at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. In this position, he led operations, programming, and long-term planning for recreation and wellness facilities serving students, faculty, and the broader community.

As head of the PRCS Department, Rorabaugh will be responsible for managing the City's parks system, trails, open spaces, recreation programs, and cultural services. This includes overseeing more than 18,000 acres of park land, 300 miles of trails, 130+ playgrounds, and a team of over 250 full-time staff. The department plays a critical role in enhancing quality of life for residents while also supporting community wellness and preserving Colorado Springs' natural assets for future generations.

With his extensive experience in both public service and recreation, Rorabaugh is well-equipped to lead the PRCS Department and ensure that parks, recreation, and cultural services remain vibrant and accessible for all members of the community.
