Pathways of Hope was awarded the highest level of accreditation with Pulse For Good
Rezul News/10741777
FULLERTON, Calif. - Rezul -- On May 11, Pathways of Hope were officially awarded the Elite Tier accreditation level by Pulse For Good. They worked towards that level of accreditation for six months with help from Pulse For Good's team.
Sarah Pena, Pathways of Hope's senior director of programs, explained that the destination was not the goal. "We didn't view these requirements and steps to achieving the elite tier as obstacles. We really view them as opportunities for improvement," Pena said.
Pulse For Good's accreditation program is recognition for organizations who are utilizing feedback systems to enhance the services. It is a perpetual learning process for organizations to gain each level of accreditation. Pulse For Good offers three levels: Foundational, Advanced and Elite.
Pena said they were operating on the other tiers of accreditation during their three years partnered with Pulse and wanted to "[dig] a little bit deeper and we got some really positive feedback." She explained that furthering their feedback implementation helped fix a scheduling inconsistency that was brought to her team's attention. Now the hunger and homeless shelter ensures fairness without running out of resources.

"That's the biggest thing for us," Pena said, "is closing that loop…We want our clients to know we've heard you, and this is what we've done about it."
Pena said they no longer scratch the surface of her organization's potential. Her team can build a stronger culture for both the organization and their clients. "I've talked about this accreditation process and how great it is and how much of an eye-opener it is," Pena said.
The team at Pathways of Hope will continue learning about their processes through feedback. "This obviously isn't the end for us," Pena said. They look forward to refining their processes.
Pulse For Good will help your organization close your loops. For more accreditation information or if you want to know more about Pulse For Good's services, visit their website at https://www.pulseforgood.com.
