'Only woman electrician in UK film' lifts lids on 90s Hollywood at Capstone Theatre

LIVERPOOL, U.K. - Rezul -- The acclaimed one-woman show She's Electric: My Strange but True Story arrives at the Capstone Theatre on Friday 9th October at 7.30pm, telling the extraordinary story of Vanessa Woolf, who spent a decade as the only woman working successfully as an electrician in the UK film industry.

The production has already earned glowing reviews from audiences throughout the UK, cementing Vanessa Woolf's reputation as one of the UK's leading storytellers. As well as lifting the curtain on life in the film industry, the show celebrates women forging careers in traditionally male-dominated professions and the creativity, courage and perseverance needed to succeed.

The production kicks off the Autumn season at The Capstone Theatre, based at Liverpool Hope University's Creative Campus on Shaw Street. The forward thinking venue has announced its Autumn programme of enthralling and diverse events, including electronic music, jazz and plays.
