MesaMoves' Reindeer Roll and Stroll Returns on Dec. 5

~ Mesa, AZ- The holiday season is officially underway in the City of Mesa as they prepare to kick off their annual Reindeer Roll and Stroll event. This free, self-guided scavenger hunt will take place on Friday, Dec. 5 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Plaza at Mesa City Center.
Families and friends are invited to join in on the festive fun by rolling, strolling, and exploring the holiday magic of Downtown Mesa's Merry Main Street. The event will begin at the registration table near the Winter Wonderland ice-skating rink.
The Reindeer Roll and Stroll is part of the MesaMoves Look Twice Challenge, a roadway safety campaign that encourages everyone to slow down, look twice, and watch out for one another while walking, rolling or driving. Participants can earn points towards prizes by completing Look Twice activities that promote safe and active ways to get around the community.
During the Reindeer Roll and Stroll, participants will receive a scavenger hunt list with 11 festive challenges. These challenges include stopping by the Winter Wonderland ice rink, finding strolling carolers, and visiting the road safety booth. To qualify for prizes, participants must complete at least eight of these activities.

To document their completed tasks, participants are required to take a photo with at least one group member in each picture. Completed pamphlets and photos must be turned in to a City of Mesa staff member by 8 p.m. on event day or emailed to mesamoves@mesaaz.gov by Dec. 6.
Registration for this event is free and can be done through the Look Twice Challenge page or the Reindeer Roll and Stroll Eventbrite page. Winners will be notified by mid-December.
Qualified participants will be entered into drawings for various prizes including a grand prize package valued at $400 which includes a bicycle, two tickets to National Geographic Live: Life on the Move at Mesa Arts Center, a customized street sign, a $100 Downtown Mesa gift card, and a swag bag valued at $50. Three adventure pack prizes will also be awarded which include a family four-pack admission to the Arizona Museum of Natural History, a $50 Downtown Mesa gift card, and a swag bag valued at $50. Additionally, six community pack prizes will be given out which include a light rail transit day pass, a $25 Downtown Mesa gift card, and a swag bag valued at $50.
