Lennar Will Deliver Approximately 42,000 Diapers to With Love, Oregon on Friday, May 17

PORTLAND, Ore. - May 15, 2019 - Rezul -- Between April and Mother's Day, Lennar Portland partnered with With Love, Oregon, a non-profit organization, for a diaper drive to support foster families. The homebuilder opened its doors at their new home communities throughout the Pacific Northwest and invited members of the community to donate diapers. Lennar is excited to announce that they have collected approximately 42,000 diapers and will deliver them to With Love on Friday, May 17^th.

Lennar will begin loading the diapers to a donated You Move Me truck starting at 12 p.m. on Friday, May 17^th at their division office located at 11807 NE 99th St. #1170 in Vancouver, Wash. 98682.

In 2016, almost one out of every 100 children in the state were in an Oregon Foster system, which is nearly double the national average. Allie Roth, the founder of With Love, recognized the need to support Portland's foster families and created the organization to serve as a bridge between foster families and their communities. With Love helps foster families by providing safe, clean and quality clothing and supplies for children ages 0-6. By providing valuable resources to families in need, they hope to nurture dignity and hope throughout the community.

Many times, foster parents will find out they are receiving a child only hours before they arrive, leaving them unprepared and overwhelmed. With Love strives to provide families with the essentials they'll need, including clothes, car seats, toys and diapers, so they can focus on their little ones. Families can go through hundreds of diapers in just one week, with a typical baby using anywhere from 10 to 12 diapers a day and toddlers using about eight a day.
