Katrina's Dream Launches Fourth Pilgrimage: Hall to Hall. From Independence Hall to Congress – ERA, Mercy for Bishop Trevor Mwamba, and Public AI Benefits
ASTORIA, N.Y. - Rezul -- Helene de Boissiere-Swanson, founder of Katrina's Dream, begins her fourth pilgrimage, Hall to Hall: Liberty's Flame for Equality, on September 17, 2026. The walk starts at Independence Hall and continues on foot, church to church, to Congress and the White House.
This continues Katrina's Dream's "Walk the Talk" tradition (Seneca Falls 2012, 7,000-mile journey from the Golden Gate Bridge 2014, and 2020). The pilgrimage focuses on three priorities:
1. Equal Rights Amendment
Call on the Senate Judiciary Committee to pass S.J. Res. 38 (introduced by Sens. Murkowski and Hirono). The bipartisan resolution removes the deadline and affirms the ERA—already ratified by 38 states—as the 28th Amendment. "Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex." Pending since March 25, 2025. There is no deadline on equality.

2. Mercy for Bishop Trevor Mwamba
Appeal for Bishop Musonda Selwyn Trevor Mwamba, retired Anglican Bishop of Botswana, UNIP President, and Katrina's Dream board member. Detained after Zambia's August 2026 election, charged with treason August 29, and held at Mukobeko Maximum Prison. Aged 68, he has a record of pastoral and justice work, including support for the ERA. Appeals for safety, counsel, family access, medication, due process, and mercy. Embassy of Zambia visit planned.
3. Public Interest in Artificial Intelligence
Highlight the need for Americans to share in AI benefits. On February 3, 2025, President Trump signed an Executive Order for a U.S. Sovereign Wealth Fund. This aligns with calls, including Sen. Sanders' American AI Sovereign Wealth Fund Act, for public ownership stakes so AI wealth serves the many.
A stop is planned at the Center for Courageous Women of Faith.
"I walk from the birthplace of American liberty because the founding documents still call us to expand equality," said Helene de Boissiere-Swanson. "There is no deadline on equality. We stand with Bishop Trevor Mwamba and affirm that AI benefits should serve the common good."
Prayers requested for safe travel, open doors, the Bishop and family, and ERA passage. More information: https://www.katrinasdream.org
