Rezul News/10712905
~ Kansas City Water Department (KC Water) leadership, along with members of the Kansas City City Council and City Manager's office, gathered today to break ground on the first major renovation of the department's laboratory. The laboratory, located next to KC Water's water treatment facility in the Northland, plays a crucial role in protecting public health by testing and monitoring the city's drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater on a daily basis.

The expansion of the laboratory will allow for an increase in its scope of analysis, ensuring that KC Water can keep up with changes in regulations and technological advancements. This investment in the laboratory is seen as an investment in Kansas City's future by KC Water Director Kenneth Morgan.

Morgan stated, "By expanding our testing capacity, KC Water is ensuring that our community continues to receive safe, reliable, and high-quality water for generations to come."
