Rezul News/10743343
~ Juneau, Alaska - The City and Borough of Juneau has announced the reopening of the Adair Kennedy courts near Floyd Dryden after undergoing renovations last month. The resurfacing, restriping, and installation of three new sets of net posts have been completed, providing residents with two dedicated pickleball courts and one shared tennis and pickleball court.

According to the city officials, the courts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until winter. However, starting in the spring of 2027, residents will be able to make reservations for the courts online.

While the courts are currently open for use, there are still two final updates that need to be made. One dedicated pickleball court is currently using a temporary net, which will be replaced with a permanent one once parts arrive. Additionally, the final painting of the shared court's pickleball lines will be completed when weather permits.

The project was completed by Parks Maintenance staff who put in hours of work to resurface and paint the courts. The installation of net posts was done by ENCO Construction.

For more information about the Adair Kennedy courts, residents can contact Juneau Parks & Recreation at 907-586-5226.
