Following his release from police custody, Penrose claims he was subjected to a year-long stay in a psychiatric facility near Foy's home, where he underwent what he describes as "unnecessary treatment, including injections and medication."

He particularly emphasized that he was falsely accused in the press of making rape threats, which he vehemently denies.
