Jason Penrose Breaks Silence on Claire Foy Stalking Allegations, Claims Media Misrepresentation
Rezul News/10675851
Penrose says that he was set up by Foy's exhusband, wrongly convicted, and defamed with fake news.
ISLINGTON, U.K. - Rezul -- Musician and filmmaker Jason Penrose has come forward to address the highly publicized stalking allegations involving actress Claire Foy, claiming he was "wrongly accused and convicted" and seeking to clear his name.
In a statement released today, Penrose recounted his version of events, starting with his attempt to discuss a film project with Foy at her residence. "I had met Claire through mutual friends in the entertainment industry," Penrose explained. "I believed she might be interested in collaborating on my film."
Penrose states that he rang Foy's doorbell once and waited for about two minutes before leaving peacefully when she didn't answer. However, he alleges that Foy's ex-husband, who was reportedly outside in a car, called the police, leading to Penrose's arrest.

Following his release from police custody, Penrose claims he was subjected to a year-long stay in a psychiatric facility near Foy's home, where he underwent what he describes as "unnecessary treatment, including injections and medication."
Penrose strongly refuted the media's portrayal of the events, stating, "I was smeared in the media with false accusations, including claims that I had intended to harm Claire, which was never true." He particularly emphasized that he was falsely accused in the press of making rape threats, which he vehemently denies. "They portrayed it as a direct quote from me, but it was completely fabricated - fake news. I never said anything of the sort," Penrose asserted.
In a surprising twist, Penrose claims that Foy had been receiving threatening messages from individuals impersonating him, which led her to believe he was a threat. "These messages were not from me, and I had no intention of causing harm or distress," he insisted.

The incident concluded with Penrose receiving a suspended sentence and returning to the United States. However, he states that the experience has had a lasting impact on his life and career, particularly due to the false accusations and misrepresentations in the media.
Penrose is now seeking to restore his reputation and provide what he calls "a more accurate understanding of what really happened." He expressed hope that his statement will help clarify the facts surrounding the case and correct the record regarding the alleged threats that he maintains were falsely attributed to him.
As of now, neither Claire Foy nor her representatives have commented on Penrose's statement. The case highlights the complexities of celebrity stalking allegations, the potential for misunderstandings in high-profile situations, and the impact of media reporting on such sensitive issues.
