~ The Indiana University Asian Culture Center, in collaboration with the City of Bloomington, is proud to announce the upcoming Asianfest 2026. This annual event celebrates the rich heritage of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities and will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater located at 114 East Kirkwood Avenue.

Themed "Mosaic Traditions: Piecing a Common Ground," this year's Asianfest aims to highlight the shared histories and diverse cultures within AAPI communities at Indiana University and in the broader Bloomington area. Through cultural expression, storytelling, and artistic performances, attendees are invited to reflect, connect, and find peace on common ground.

The event will be divided into two parts at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. From 4 to 6 p.m., there will be a Cultural and Informational Tabling where attendees can explore booths representing various AAPI communities, student organizations, and community partners. This will be followed by Live Performances and Video Screenings from 7 to 8:30 p.m., featuring AAPI voices, traditions, and artistic expressions.
