Idaho Falls: IFFD Responds to Sunday Morning Structure Fire

~ On Sunday morning, the Idaho Falls Fire Department swiftly responded to a structure fire on West Elswood Drive. The department received a call at 10:07 a.m. reporting black smoke and visible flames coming from the residence.

Upon arrival, firefighters immediately began an aggressive attack on the fire while simultaneously searching the manufactured home. During the search, they discovered a resident inside and were able to safely remove them from the burning building. The individual received emergency medical care before being transported to a nearby hospital.

Unfortunately, a dog was also found inside the home and did not survive the fire. Despite their efforts, the fire caused extensive damage to both the home and its contents.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by authorities. The Idaho Falls Fire Department urges residents to take necessary precautions to prevent such incidents in the future.
