Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Three to the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Thomas Mersch and reappointed Pierro Bussani and Linda Stoch to the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees. These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Mersch, who currently serves as Partner and General Counsel for Kelly Kronenberg, brings a wealth of experience to the board. He is also actively involved in his community, serving as the Chair of the Florida Atlantic University College of Business Dean's Advisory Board and a member of The Venture Mentoring Team Board of Directors. Mersch holds a bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University and a juris doctor from the University of Mississippi.

Bussani, Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Hertz Global, has been reappointed to the board. He is also an active member of his community, serving on the CubeSmart Board of Trustees and the Cleveland Clinic of Weston Board of Trustees. Bussani earned his bachelor's degree in international studies from American University and his juris doctor from the State University of New York.

Stoch, who is currently retired but previously served as Owner of Innovative Interiors by Linda, has also been reappointed to the board. She is actively involved in her community as Co-Founder of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Carson Scholars Fund and a member of the Haitian Evangelical Community Association Board of Directors. Stoch holds a bachelor's degree in technical education from Witwatersrand Technical College.

These appointments demonstrate Governor DeSantis' commitment to selecting highly qualified individuals for important positions within Florida's educational institutions. The Florida Senate will now have an opportunity to confirm these appointments before they officially join the Florida Atlantic University Board of Trustees.
