Governor Abbott Appoints Nielsen To Texas State Board Of Examiners Of Marriage And Family Therapists

~ Houston therapist Misti Nielsen has been appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists. Nielsen's term will expire on February 1, 2029.

The Board is responsible for licensing and regulating marriage and family therapists in the state of Texas. With her extensive experience in the field, Nielsen is well-equipped to contribute to the Board's important work.

Nielsen, who owns Turn the Time Family Services, PLLC, is a licensed marriage and family therapist supervisor. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Association for Mental Health Professional and Christian Counselors of Texas.

In addition to her current roles, Nielsen has previously been a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas Association of Marriage and Family, and the Houston Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Nielsen holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Consumer Studies from Southern Nazarene University. She also earned a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. With her impressive qualifications and experience, Nielsen is sure to make valuable contributions to the Board during her term.
