Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - On May 30, the City of Long Beach will host its second annual Home Improvement Expo at Whaley Park. The event, organized by the Community Development Department, aims to provide resources and inspiration for residents, designers, construction professionals, and businesses looking to improve their homes.
The free celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature dozens of local professionals sharing practical tips and answering questions on various home improvement topics such as design, construction, flooring, tile, cabinetry and shelving, smart-home tools, heating and cooling systems, and windows.
According to Mayor Rex Richardson, the Expo is a reflection of Long Beach's commitment to progress and reinvention. "This Expo will give residents from every part of our city new inspiration and free advice for how to make their homes more beautiful, sustainable and comfortable," he said.
Attendees can also expect to find representatives from other City departments such as Building and Safety, Planning and Code Enforcement Bureaus who will be available to answer questions about property upgrades and neighborhood improvements like street trees.

Christopher Koontz, Director of the Community Development Department emphasized the department's mission to enhance the quality of life in Long Beach. "The Home Improvement Expo connects residents to Long Beach-based experts who help make that happen," he said.
In addition to informational booths and resources for adults, there will also be family-friendly activities including a worm bin exhibit and a seed-planting project for children. Attendees can also look forward to seeing a City fire truck up close.
Local home design and building professionals as well as other service providers are invited to apply as exhibitors at the Expo. Interested parties must submit an Interest Form by Friday May 1st. However, space is limited so completing the form does not guarantee inclusion in the event.
