Fort Worth Community Unites for Walk For Lives to Honor Victims and Raise Fentanyl Awareness

Community members, families, advocates, recovery organizations and law enforcement unite to honor lives lost, support those affected, and prevent future fentanyl poisonings.
FORT WORTH, Texas - Rezul -- FORT WORTH, Texas – Families, advocates, community organizations, recovery leaders, healthcare professionals, and law enforcement will come together on Saturday, July 11, 2026, for Walk For Lives – Fort Worth, a powerful community event honoring lives lost to fentanyl poisoning while raising awareness and offering hope through education, prevention, recovery resources, and community action.
Hosted locally by the North Texas Fentanyl Coalition (NTXFC) in partnership with the national Walk For Lives movement, this free event invites the public to stand together in remembrance, support grieving families, and help prevent future tragedies.
The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Historic Flatiron Building and Hyde Park, located at 201 W. 9th Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.

Attendees will experience a meaningful morning that includes:
Community partners scheduled to participate include organizations such as The Thomas Effect, Challenge of Tarrant County, Recovery Resource Council, MHMR Tarrant, PAL (Parents of Addicted Loved Ones), Cenikor, Shatterproof, UNT Health, Fort Worth Police Department, CASA, Bash'N Fentanyl, Angelina Lives On, Enabling Life, and many others committed to protecting families and saving lives.
"This event is about more than remembering those we've lost," said Stephanie Hellstern, Walk For Lives Fort Worth Organizer and Founder of the North Texas Fentanyl Coalition. "It's about bringing our community together so families know they are not alone, connecting people with life-saving resources, and working together to prevent another family from experiencing this heartbreaking loss."

Walk For Lives is a nationwide movement dedicated to honoring lives lost, educating communities about the dangers of illicit fentanyl, supporting affected families, and inspiring action through awareness, prevention, recovery, and advocacy.
The public is encouraged to attend. Whether you have been personally affected by fentanyl, work in prevention or recovery, represent a community organization, or simply want to support families and learn more, everyone is welcome.

- A memorial display honoring individuals whose lives were lost to fentanyl poisoning.
- Family stories shared by loved ones to remember those lost and inspire action.
- Speakers representing prevention, recovery, healthcare, law enforcement, advocacy, and community leadership.
- A community walk through downtown Fort Worth in remembrance and hope.
