TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has reappointed Patrick Rooney and appointed Kelly Smallridge to the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, his office announced.
Rooney is a former Florida House of Representatives member and president of the Palm Beach Kennel Club. He previously served on the South Florida Water Management District and chairs Potentia Academy. He also is a director of Rooney's Golf Foundation and a member of Children's Healthcare Charity Inc. and the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.

Rooney earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Clemson University, an MBA from Lehigh University and a law degree from Villanova University.
Smallridge is president and CEO of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County. She received the Governor's Ambassador Medal in 2013 from then-Gov. Rick Scott for creating jobs in the county, according to the announcement.
She serves on boards including the International Economic Development Council, the South Florida Fair, the Homeless Coalition and The Education Foundation. Smallridge earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Florida.
