Florida: Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Three to the Government Technology Modernization Council

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed three individuals to the Government Technology Modernization Council. The council, which is responsible for advising the state on technology modernization initiatives, will now include Stefan Grow, Jack Mosbacher, and John Schrader.

Stefan Grow brings a wealth of experience to the council as a Government Relations Consultant for Johnson & Blanton. He has previously served as the Chief of Staff and General Counsel for the Agency for Health Care Administration and Of Counsel for Parker, Hudson, Ranier & Dobbs. Grow holds a bachelor's degree in German studies from Florida State University and a juris doctor from Mississippi College.

Joining Grow on the council is Jack Mosbacher, a Partner at Watchfire Ventures. This early-stage venture capital firm focuses on investing in American businesses that utilize application layer AI in consumer and industrial modernization. Mosbacher is also actively involved in his community, having helped found the 1919 Society at the Hoover Institution and serving on the Advisory Council of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford University. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Stanford University.

The third appointee to the council is John Schrader, an Associate at The Advocacy Partners. Schrader brings with him a strong background in government affairs, having previously served as Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Management Services and Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Affairs Director for both the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science and business from Florida State University.

These three individuals will play an important role in advising Governor DeSantis on technology modernization efforts within the state government. Their diverse backgrounds and expertise will be valuable assets to the Government Technology Modernization Council as they work towards improving technology systems and processes across various departments.
