Florida: Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Seven to the Chipola College District Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. ~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In a recent announcement, Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed four new members and reappointed three existing members to the Chipola College District Board of Trustees.
The newly appointed members are Chris Campbell, Robert Reiff, Joseph Shuler, and Sherry Young. Campbell is a Realtor at 850 Hometown Realty and is actively involved in his community. He currently serves as a member of the Chipola College Foundation Board and previously worked as a Sales Manager at Miller & Miller Chevrolet. Campbell also holds certifications in Emergency Medical Technician and Law Enforcement from Chipola College.
Reiff brings his expertise as a Real Estate Appraiser for Brown-Reiff Associates, Inc. to the board. He is also an active member of the Jackson County Hospital District and has previously served as President of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. Reiff holds an associate degree from Chipola College and a bachelor's degree in finance and real estate from Florida State University.
Shuler, who has been a resident of Liberty County for over 30 years, is the Secretary, Treasurer, and Risk Manager for Roberts and Roberts, Inc. He also serves as a Risk Manager at Culpepper Construction Company. Shuler earned his bachelor's degree in finance and real estate from Florida State University.

Young brings her experience as an Autonomous Practice Nurse Practitioner at Doctors Memorial Hospital to the board. She is an active member of her community, serving on various organizations such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Women's Ministry Team at New Smyrna. Young holds an associate degree from Chipola College, a bachelor's degree in nursing from Florida State University, and a master's degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama.
The three reappointed members are Thomas Lassman, Joel Paul Jr., and Danny Ryals. Lassman has been serving on the board since 2013 and has held multiple terms as Chair and Vice Chair. He is currently the Chief Lending Officer and Regional President for PeoplesSouth Bank. Lassman attended Chipola College and Troy University.
Paul, the Executive Director for the Tri-County Community Council, brings his experience as a former Walton County Commissioner and member of the Affordable Housing Board of Walton County to the board. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of West Florida.
Ryals, who is currently elected as a Calhoun County School Board member representing District 1, is also an active member of his community. He is the Owner and Broker of Danny Ryals Real Estate and Owner of R & R Warehouses. Ryals attended Chipola College.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate, but Governor DeSantis is confident that these individuals will bring valuable expertise and dedication to their roles on the Chipola College District Board of Trustees.
