FCSN Gala Brings Supporters Together to Champion Equity in Education and Healthcare in Massachusetts

Rezul News/10709374
BOSTON - Rezul -- The Federation for Children with Special Needs (FCSN) invites you to an evening that honors what makes our work possible: community. The Building Community Gala will take place on Saturday, September 27 at the Boston Marriott Newton — bringing together passionate donors, families, professionals, and community leaders who believe every child deserves to be seen, supported, and included.

For over 50 years, FCSN has helped families navigate the complicated systems of special education, healthcare, and disability services. Today, as many families face barriers to access, the Federation remains a lifeline — offering guidance, multilingual support, and resources that empower families and professionals alike.

The Building Community Gala is more than a celebration — it's a call to action. As access to special education and disability support services face increasing challenges, the Federation continues to be a trusted resource, guide, and advocate for families across Massachusetts. Funds raised through the Gala will ensure that families and professionals alike can continue to count on the Federation's free trainings, multilingual support, and one-on-one guidance through complex systems like special education, healthcare, and transition to adulthood.

"We see the strength of our community every day — in a parent's advocacy, a teacher's commitment, or a young person speaking up for their rights," said Executive Director Pam Nourse. "The Gala is a chance to celebrate that power and raise the funds we need to keep showing up for families."

The evening will feature a mission-driven program, silent auction, dinner, and the premiere of FCSN's 2025 Impact Video by documentary filmmaker Amir Dixon — spotlighting real stories of families who've found support and hope through the Federation. Guests will also have the chance to connect with others who share a commitment to equity and inclusion for children and youth with disabilities. It's a night designed to uplift, connect, and inspire us all to action.

All proceeds from the Gala will directly support FCSN's statewide programs, helping ensure that no family feels alone in navigating complicated systems of support. Funds raised will support trainings, one-on-one support, interpretation and translation services, and programs focused on transition, early childhood, health equity, and more.

Tickets and sponsorships are available now at www.fcsn.org/gala.
