EFA Continues Passion for Matching Romance Writers with Editors
Rezul News/10315233
NEW YORK - Oct. 12, 2016 - Rezul -- Having attended the Romance Writers of America's annual conference earlier this year, the Editorial Freelancers Association also will be exhibiting at an upcoming RWA regional event: the New Jersey Romance Writers' Put Your Heart in a Book conference. It will be held at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Iselin, N.J., on Oct. 14–15.
"The NJRW conference is one of the largest regional conferences and draws authors, editors and agents," says Luann Reed-Siegel, a New Jersey–based editing consultant specializing in romance and other fiction genres. "Romance and its subgenres comprise a billion-dollar-a-year industry and the market is continually expanding," she adds.
"We recognize the growth in the romance genre and the many new opportunities for self-publishing authors. EFA members are available to help writers polish their manuscripts and create their best possible book," says Lindsey Alexander, the EFA's Events Subcommittee chairperson.

For the first time, the NJRW conference will feature an Author Services Trade Expo. Open from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 15, the expo is designed to connect conference attendees with author services professionals, among them the EFA.
Founded in 1970, the EFA is a national nonprofit professional organization with over 2,500 members, including writers, editors, copy editors, proofreaders, indexers, translators and others who work in publishing, communications and related fields. "EFA members can provide every editorial skill that is necessary throughout the publication process to provide a finished product of top quality," says Bill Keenan, EFA co-executive.
