Credit Control Corporation Data Breach: Murphy Law Firm Investigates Legal Claims

OKLAHOMA CITY - Rezul -- Murphy Law Firm is investigating claims on behalf of all individuals whose personal and confidential information was potentially compromised in the data breach involving R&B Corporation of Virginia d/b/a Credit Control Corporation ("Credit Control Corporation" or "CCC"). CCC is a business associate to a variety of healthcare organizations. On March 7, 2023, CCC became aware of a cybersecurity event perpetrated by a threat actor, indicating a data breach. Based on a forensic investigation, Credit Control Corporation confirmed that unauthorized cybercriminals gained access to its computer system between March 2, 2023, and March 7, 2023. CCC further confirmed that the cybercriminals accessed systems and even copied files contained the electronically stored personal information of at least 286,699 individuals. The personal information accessed by cybercriminals in the data breach, includes:

• Names
• Addresses
• Social Security numbers
• Account information
• Healthcare information
