CORRECTION: Flu, COVID vaccine clinics return to Columbia, Boone County

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia and Boone County residents can now access flu and COVID-19 vaccines at walk-in clinics in their community. The Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will be hosting a clinic at the Hallsville Community Center on October 21 from 3:30-6:30 p.m.

The updated flu vaccine will be available to all residents, regardless of insurance status. Those aged 65 and older can also receive a high-dose flu shot. For self-pay residents, the cost of the flu vaccine is $40, while the high-dose option is priced at $85.

In addition to the flu vaccine, the clinic will also offer the COVID-19 vaccine for individuals aged 6 months and older who have insurance. PHHS is working with the State of Missouri to secure vaccines for uninsured individuals. For those without insurance, the cost of the COVID-19 vaccine is $125.

Payment options at the PHHS clinic include cash, credit cards, debit cards, checks, and billing through VaxCare for various insurance plans. However, it should be noted that PHHS is out of network for some insurance plans. Residents are advised to check with their insurance company for more information. Receipts will be available upon request.
