Rezul News/10732143
NAPERVILLE, Ill. ~ Naperville, Illinois - The City of Naperville is once again teaming up with students from North Central College for an intergenerational event aimed at connecting seniors with college students. Following the success of their first event last year, the city is hosting "Connecting Across the Generations: Continuing the Conversation" on Saturday, April 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Nichols Library.
Part of the Embracing Community: Connecting Neighbors series, this event provides a unique opportunity for seniors and young adults to come together and share experiences, fostering meaningful connections and bridging generations within the community.
The main activity for the afternoon will be a game called "Slingo," which is a musical twist on traditional Bingo. Participants will work in pairs, with one senior and one college student, to identify songs and mark their cards for a chance to win. Each round will feature music from different eras, encouraging participants to engage in guided conversations and ice breakers while rotating partners.
