Columbia: Public input meetings set for development of first phase of Northeast Regional Park, master plan

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Parks and Recreation is seeking public input for the proposed master plan and first phase of development for Northeast Regional Park. The park, located at 5212 N. Oakland Gravel Road, will be the site of two drop-in meetings where community members can view plans, offer feedback, and ask questions to staff. The meetings will take place in the Event Center on Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 4-6 p.m. and Thursday, March 12 from 5-7 p.m.

For those unable to attend in person, feedback can also be provided online at https://beheard.como.gov/. The first phase of development may include synthetic turf multi-purpose sports fields, indoor building improvements, natural grass sports fields, and facilities to support the Boone County Fair. Additionally, utility upgrades, parking lot improvements, and LED lighting upgrades are also part of the project.
