(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police responded to a shots fired call on the evening of February 7th in the 700 block of North Garth Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound and immediately transported him to a local hospital for treatment. The victim's injuries were reported as life-threatening.

A person of interest was taken into custody by Columbia Police, and authorities have confirmed that there is no longer a threat to the community. As the investigation continues, the public is advised to avoid the 700 block of North Garth Avenue.
