Columbia Police respond to active assailant on North Stadium Boulevard

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police officers responded to an active assailant call on the evening of January 3rd at the 200 block of North Stadium Boulevard. According to initial investigations, shots were fired during the incident before a vehicle was stolen and fled the area.

Thanks to the assistance of Flock Safety cameras and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the stolen vehicle was located and a person of interest is now in custody. The Columbia Police Department has stated that there is currently no threat to the public and the investigation is ongoing.
