Columbia Police arrest juvenile suspect for assault on City Hill Court

(COLUMBIA, MO) ~ Columbia Police have made an arrest in connection with an assault that occurred on a walking trail near City Hill Court on August 17th. The suspect, a juvenile male, was taken into custody on August 18th after being identified with the help of the community. The victim, an adult female, suffered minor injuries and it was determined that she did not know the suspect.

According to police, the incident took place at approximately 6:40 p.m. and the suspect has been charged with fourth-degree assault under Missouri statute 565.056. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the Columbia Police Department or CrimeStoppers.
