DENVER ~ In a recent decision, the Supreme Court of the United States has overturned protections for LGBTQ youth in Colorado from conversion therapy. The ruling, with an 8-1 majority in favor of Chiles, limits states' ability to regulate medical treatments for LGBTQ individuals and poses a threat to future efforts in providing resources for the community.
Governor Polis of Colorado has expressed concern over the decision, stating that "Colorado is for everyone, no matter who you are." He also emphasized the ineffectiveness and potential harm of conversion therapy and urged caution against falling victim to scams.
