Colorado Springs: Traffic pattern shift on Marksheffel Road starts Saturday

Rezul News/10733725
~ As of Saturday, April 25, drivers traveling on Marksheffel Road will experience a new traffic pattern between Stetson Hills Boulevard and Ryker Peak. The current lane shift north of Stetson Hills Boulevard will be extended to Ryker Peak, resulting in a change in the flow of traffic. To ensure a smooth transition, flaggers will be present to direct alternating traffic and brief stops may occur as crews implement the new configuration.

In addition, Tarren Heights will reopen for use while Ryker Peak will remain open for all traffic movements. However, motorists should anticipate minor delays and exercise caution while driving through the work zone.

This change is part of an ongoing project to widen Marksheffel Road between North Carefree Circle and Dublin Boulevard. The improvements include adding two lanes in each direction, a center median, enhanced drainage systems, and new sidewalks and paths.
