DENVER ~ In a recent announcement, Governor Polis has appointed Courtney L. Dinnel to the Mesa County Court in the 21st Judicial District. This decision comes as a result of a new judgeship created by SB25-024 and will officially take effect on July 1, 2026.

Ms. Dinnel brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as an Adams County Court Judge in the 17th Judicial District since 2021. In this position, she has presided over both criminal and civil cases. Prior to her current role, Ms. Dinnel held various positions including Owner and Managing Attorney at Dinnel Law, LLC (2020-2021), Associate Attorney at Foster Graham Milstein Calisher, LLP (2019-2020), and Lead Deputy Public Defender (2017-2019) and Deputy Public Defender (2010-2017) at the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender in Brighton.

Ms. Dinnel's impressive credentials include a B.S. from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2004 and a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2010.
